brake lights
I dont have time to read all the old threads because we are leaving tonight and my brake lights and my emergency flashers dont work .Pleas help.I have a 2000 thor class a motorhome with a v10 Im not sure about the chassie but its a heavy duty ford.I tested the brake light switch it has power going in and power coming out when you push on the brakes.I checked all the fuses I can find {2 fuse boxes }but its not a truck so maybe theres more I cant find.It kinda seems like this is a common problem but I havent found the answer to fix it.I could sure use some help.

I found a 2000 "F53 Motorhome" on my cd. It showes two fuses in the underdash fuse box, fuse 1 20 amp, and fuse 9 20 amp. If none of your lights work (front or rear) for the emergency flasher, and the brake lights don't work, I would suspect the turnsignal switch in the column, or possibly a large plug has become unplugged in the column. The turnsignal switch is called the "multi-function switch.
As a experiment, tilt the column while trying to work the lights, and see if they start working. If they do, you might have too much strain on a wiring plug in the column, and it's becoming half-way unplugged.
