I have a set of aluminum rims that have a clear coat on them. They have been sitting for a few years and the finish has pitted. Any suggestions on how to redo them?
I've heard good things about the aircraft paint stripper you can get at Advanced auto. I think it's made by tal-man. Strip the clear, then polish and re-clear. If the surface is pretty clean after stripping something like a Mother's powerball and your favorite polish should make the job pretty easy.
Ludacris your wheels had clear on them? They look awesome now! I have a set of Mickey Thompson II that do not have clear and I have been cleaning every summer for the last 3 yrs trying to get them back to the shine they once had!
Yea there was clear and it yellowed alot as you can see in the first pic lol. UM i really dont know how to clean then up. umm try mothers mag polish. but yea i still wanna we clear them. right now they are covered in mud and look brown
