Frame Compatibility
Like I mentioned in my other post my 89 F250 has a bad frame. I'm going to halfass weld up some patches to get me through the winter and get me a sticker, but in the spring I plan on doing a legit frame swap. I'm just curious to know what year frames are compatible with my 89. If I'm not mistaken they stopped using seperate frames in the early 80s right?
I'm not sure. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Join the club of the crap frames. Mine is the same way. I attempted to buy a new frame but it feel through. I will be welding mine up also with some structural steel and not a half assed patch and por 15 it in the spring and put it on the road. I figure getting a truck down south with a good cab is my best bet for the future.
Frame compatibility is 80-91 and the 92-97 will work but the bumper mount must be custom fabricated as the frame horns changed.
