E99 to late 99

I know its here but I cant find it anywhere. What was the production date from early to late 99 7.3? And, give me the reasons why I should want one over the other if there is a big difference. Im moving up from a '95 Stroke and am trying to make sure I do get the best one if I should end up with a '99 model truck. Thanks!!

I believe 8-99 was when they started the late 99 model. To my knowledge the main differences are they changed the turbo, insulated the hot pipe, and some intake parts are different. Both engines are great with fordged bottom ends and good turbos. Most newer turbos are upgraded with the wicked wheel which is basically the wheel out of the e99 turbo, it helps eliminate turbo surge. Depends on what your wanting out of the truck both are great engines.

Yes,sorry I believe it is 10-98. I didn't mean to put 8-99, haha that would be a way late 99.
