303K... Knocking on Wood!

Just kinda in a weird mood... got back from a 200+ mile trip up through the mountains hauling 2500lbs of feed with me for the greater half of the trip. You know, for 300K and all the hell my Dad and I have put it through in it's 12yrs of life, it's running better than alot of the guys I've seen on here, knocking on wood. I'm not trying to rub it in but it really blows me away! I hear of romping, blown O-rings, bad harnesses, fuel leaks, oil leaks, all that jive and I really can't say I've been through much of ANY of it! I'm running 15W-40 and the temps are below the 20's at times and it doesn't romp at all, the only oil leak I've had was an HPOP O-ring. My rotational velocity numbers are still pretty low. I think the worst are #'s 3 and 8 (I think it's normal) and they usually read somewhere between 1 and 2%. My valve train is a bit noisy, but that's to be expected... worse thing that's happened is that broken pushrod. The turbo has NO in-and-out play, just a little up-and-down... I can't find any really visible leaks in my uppies. I think y'all get the picture! I can't complain! It almost seems too good to be true... yeah, it's got it's quirks, but it's still going and it's way better-off than my cousin and uncle's 6.0l's. So yeah, just kinda had to brag!

Rookie. I've got 357,000 and am still not afraid to drive it hundreds of miles from home.

Yeah, I know... you've got me beat. I wouldn't hesitate either! I'll be heading to CO from VA in June so that'll be pretty incredible if I make it there and back trouble-free.

I'm a little ways behind you both at 246k, but congrats, and I hope to be as lucky.
Preventative maintenance is the key. Its always easier to fix in the driveway than on side of the interstate.

265K here. too lazy to update my .signature, but not to keep clean filters on the truck. one oil leak was at the ICP, iirc, no other engine problems. switched to the Royal Purple 65K miles back.

my tire shop in my hometown tells me they have a customer at 750K

Good to hear the miles come gracefully on some of these motors. I have 126K on the clock and definately do not picture my motor going that distance at all. Trucks runs fine but the cylinder compression range is between is between 315 and 350. I have had it for the last 15K miles. It had a 5th wheel in it at some point years ago and I believe it had the snot towed out of it pulling a heavy load for some time.

my 96 f250 7.3 Auto has over 310k on it and runs brand new(no joke) nothing ever replaced on it(besides the basics and water pump, belt, and glow plugs) the tranny was rebuild under warranty but that was for hard shifting.

the truck is so clean i cant even get a puff of smoke out of it. even if hauling

I just replaced my injectors at 354,000. I can tell you that the o rings on the stock injectors were hard as a rock. I will also say that this truck has never ran this good.
