help with fuel leak

Hi guys yesterday morning when i turn on the truck i noticed that it sound it like there was no gas getting to the engine and i took a few seconds and a couple of push on the gas pedal for the truck to start , it went from almost no rpm to its regular rpms in a slow motion and also notice a strong smell of gas . i walk out of the truck and notice that there was a small pot of gas under the passenger side and the smoke from the exaust was white and stinking of pure gas . i went under the truck and all i can see is the pictures im trying to post on this mesage i cant see where the fuel is coming from. also would like to mention that my cats are out and lately im not even driving the truck till that cats are replace dont know if that has anything to do with the white smoke . thanks in advance tony..

P0446 = Evaporative Emission System Vent Control Circuit

Check around for electrical connectors or vacuum lines that you might have forgotten.

I check everything i can think of today and it was all good now when ever i drive for about 25 or 30 mins the truck starts to lose a bit of power and i can deep the gas pedel all the way but it wont take off fast it just feels like is about to shut of and at the light it wont idle steady the rpm jumps up and down a bit . Now if i turn off the truck for about a hour or more when ever i get back on it feels normal again ... im lost on this one ..............

Sort of sounds like it might be pulling a vacuum on the gas tank. You could try running it with the gas cap off, and see if it stops fading out. Then figure out why.

well thanks alot for the reply now that you mention " vacuum on the gas tank" a while back i went by a ford dealer around here to find out if they could figure why it takes forever for me to fill up since the truck shuts of the pump every 1 or 2 mins and only one of the service guys was able to explain a bit of why this was hapening so there must be something wrong somewere that the tank is not breathing the way it should ....
