man have yall seen the new dodge tomahawk? its a motorcycle with a freakin viper engine in it. for $200,000 it comes with 500 hp and a 300+ claimed top speed. if you want to check it out, its in the new popular science magazine. this bike is crazy.

I inherited all of my fathers old Hot Rod magazines from the 60's and 70's. They had an article, and picture, of an old bike (not sure what the actual make was), but they had shoved a Chevy 350 in it. It was a pure drag bike. I saw that Dodge one you mentioned. Thats a hell of a ride! I think for the time being, Ill just stick to my honda four stroke dirt bike . Plus, how would I justify something like that to the wife??

You want a real bike? Boss Hoss Motorcycles out of Texas will build you a custom bike with your choice of a Chevit 350 or 502 with about a $50,000 price tag. These are currently the fastest production bikes out there. They also make trikes.

 

The problem is you'd end up more bow-legged than an old cowboy that only rode Clydesdales.

Seriously though, they must come with a large depression in the middle of the seat for the extremely large, brass, you-know-what's it would take to ride one of those things.

 

I have only seen one of them on the road and we were doing about 100 mph and he blew right by us, only later did I realize what it was.

The BOSS HOSS is pretty neat looking and I understand the "ghierscope" but still it seems they would try to flop over to the right "from the torque of the motor"......

now I did see a dragbike from back in the day that had a small block on it but it was sitting sideways....... "front to the left".......
so the torque would try to throw it forward.........

I run a 74 kaw. 900 built to a 1260 ..13.5 :1, air shifter....ect
.........list to long..........1/8 mile in mid 6's.........not the fastest,but still fast............

I'm building a 230 quadsport with a GS 1000 street bike motor on it, right now..........I cut the frame in half and graphed the engine cradle from the 1000 to it.......then extended the swing arm.......the 4-wheeler is 7 ft long now......

..150 mph.... in my 89 5.0 lx
...160 mph..... on a kaw. zx 900.....
....180 mph...... on a kaw. zx 1100..........

my wifes uncle has a suzuki hybusa 1300, An their supposed to run 230 mph............can't wait till he lets me ride it.........
