The EX is the family hauler and my wife drives it much of the time. It is new to us and when I bought it I knew I'd need to put on new front springs. Right now from the center of the hub to the top of the wheel well is 23"-23.5"
My wife really doesn't want it lifted up higher than needed. So, my question is does anyone know what the hub to wheel well measurement is for stock and v-code? I've read that stock is 24" and v-code is 24.5", that's only a .5" lift. But most posts say v-code will lift 1-1.5? Is that because the stock was sagging?
I'd bett it is more like an inch but not enough it will bother her either way. Likely she won't notice the diffference either way. Used Vcodes lifted mine 2.5" from the sagging stocks. Thats floor to top of fenderwell arch before and after.
True, but they will settle in a little. And once I get the air bags installed I can bump it up a little if I want to. Or, just do the bigger blocks. I sure as heck don't want to just put the stock ones back in if I can help it. I picked up the v-code springs today from the dealer for $115 each, time to rip the old ones out.
So if I put V springs in, does that mean my new Ranchos wouldn't fit (the only choices were stock or 4 inch lift, if I recall).
No they will be fine up to 2 mmore inches. With V codes you will only gain about 1" over "new" stock. The shocks are the same up to an F450. I checked on that so I knew what to order when I put W codes on my truck. I've already put V's on my X with standard Ranco 9000s. Great combo.

What dealer is this? I'll be looking to swap to v's in the near future. Want to get the parts for when it warms up.
I picked up my parts from www.tousleyford.com. But I'm local so I didn't have to pay shipping. I also know the guys there so they might have knocked off a couple bucks. I'm pretty sure they were $120 on the web site, I don't have the part number in front of me or I'd check for sure. Shipping on springs would be crazy expensive!
