well yeah i guess so. and not cracking the ball when you started drilling it. what are them things made out of anyways?
Billiard ***** are made of a high density plastic resin. It's easy to drill and easy as pie on a drill press... mine has a hole on the platform and the ball doesn't roll around. A firm grip is all you need.
In hindsight, I should have drilled the hole slightly off-center to the right side because the shift lever is angled and the number is always facing me. Whereas I think it would have looked better at mostly a vertical orientation. Oh well, there are more billiard ***** to be had!
ohh okay. thanks for tellin me. yeah i drilled mine directly on the number of the opposite side. sooo i hope it works. i had to drill mine 11/32's inch wide and took the ball to my ag shop and tapped it 3/8 inches

So just to be sure. For your application you used 11/32 drill bit and then just tapped the ball itself and did not use any kind of insert? and then tapped the ball to 3/8?

yepp. thats exactly how i did mine. but you gotta be very careful to not strip the inside of the ball out. i almost did. I used the coarse thread tap for mine. I'm not sure if your susposed to use coarse or fine threads.
