that one looks pretty short. i had the contractors one where the lid flipped forward and it had a clamp on it for a notepad. it was killer, i loved having it. they only last a year or two before the covering starts to crack/split/tear but you can re cover the lid later.
big joe, It might actually come down to that. There is NOTHING on the market that looks half way decent IMHO. I will probably just construct my own box. NOW, where do I start....
Fab up a box with a hinge on it, cover it with your favorite upholstery with a foam pad underneath it. Make it out of aluminum so it's light and durable but will look good.
Make a prototype out of cardboard to see how much space it will take up, and how much you want to put in it. Use it for a couple days, or weeks and change as needed. Once you think have the size down, build it out of something more durable.
I built a wooden box that sits on the floor between the shifter and the seat. It has a custom drink holder on the side (fluff container) that fits a nalgene bottle. I have passengers too often to take up space on the seat, but the floor space I used is never an issue. I really ought to take a couple pictures of it and post it. Maybe later today if I remember.
tecgod13, I love your idea. I also like the fact you have it on the floor. If you could post some pictures, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks again!
