1998 4.2 counter balancer

1998 4.2 counter balancer
Going to finally be able to reassemble my 4.2 with tax money...its been apart for some time, so I just don't remember...
Is there an allen bolt that goes into the end of the counter balancer shaft? That's the only place I can find it might go. It fits, but I don't see what real purpose it serves unless there's supposed to be a washer under it....
I've been looking all over online and can't find a pic...
