Been having problems with my 92 302 engine recently. Runs fine, then all of a sudden will die then will or won't restart.
I pulled a 21 and 24 code, anyone have an idea.
So I retrieved these codes, I'm not certain about the first one, gonna have a friend confirm if he ever gets here.

Would a non opening EGR cause extream power loss, stall, and no immediate re-start, but will start after a long waiting time
You should be getting either 2 or 3 digit codes, not a combination of both. Ford started transitioning to 3 digit codes in 1991. There is another thread going on right now concerning codes on a '92. You most likely should be getting 3 digit codes, but it is not unheard of to have a vehicle still displaying 2 digit codes into 1994.
Code 33 indicates the EGR valve opening is not detected. That can be caused by a faulty EVR, open vacuum circuit, no EVP feedback signal.
Code 41 can be caused by a leak in the exhaust before the O2 sensor. It can also be caused by vacuum leaks, low fuel pressure, faulty MAP sensor, old or contaminated O2 sensor.
Been driving to work and back, the problem has not happened again, knock on wood. I'm still looking around at the possibilities and testing them. The check light came on today on the way home. I started a KOEO to retrieve the code, but for some reason the system is not giving any sign of a self check or stored code. Anyone known why this would be?...when starting the test the CEL comes on briefly like normal before a test, but then nothing at all.
Well the truck finally repeated the problem today. I've been driving around since the problem first occurred, with a fuel gauge hooked to the rail. When she died I looked at the gauge and it was at 30 psi. I waited a half hour turned the key to get a reading, the gauge said 32 psi, again this was engine off. It was enough to start her, so I continued to the gas station. After fueling, I took another reading engine off, she was at 40 psi, which is normal. So now the question, dose this indicate the fuel pump motor getting to warm and dragging, and not able to deliver the needed 35 to 45 psi?, or possible something else going on here. No pump on the frame rail, did the 92's have pumps only in the tank's?
