I noticed the black facia(?) directly below the front window is fading the other day. Both sides of the hood right at the corners of the power hump. It is losing all colour and is turning into white plastic. Anyone else experiencing this? Truck has 15000kms. 6.7. Thinking it might be higher heat emanating from that area? Not pleased and I will address the dealer next oil change.
The only thing I have noticed is after I would go to one particular car wash that recycles water, all rubber parts would have a white residue and would appear faded.
Now I go to a carwash that doesn't do that.
Can you "rejuvinate" those that appear faded?
Are you talking about the actual paint on the hood or do you have clear bra?

This was a reoccurring problem on the plastics on my Jeep Wrangler. These included the black running boards. the wheel well external covers and any other black plastic on the exterior. Found that treating them with Meguiar's Hot Shine (tire treatment) brought back the rich color and held up pretty well.
