Is the F150 Stereo the same size / fitment as an F250 ?

Afternoon,

I have a 2004 with oem cd player. I wish to fit a Becker head unit that i already have (sat nav, bluetooth in it already). But it is only single din.

So. What i want to know is, will a double din facia unit designed for an F150 fit my F250 ? (I can't get one labelled as F250).

F150 2004 - 2006
CT23FD06 Double DIN Facia Plate for Ford F150

F150 2006
CT24FD25 Facia Plate for Ford F150 2006> / Mustang 2005-2006

Don't worry about wiring, i haven't taken it out yet, but could somebody tell me / show me a picture of what plugs are behind there i can order (or make) the appropiate wiring adaptor.

Thank you

Gordon

My thought would be that the radios for the 150 and 250 are interchangable for the 99 to 2004 so I would think the single din adaptor would be to. Maybe somebody that has done it will come along and give us a definate anwser....

I've hunted through US ebay and it seems that the earlier than 2004 F150 is the same as the 2004 superduty.
i.e. eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace

The wiring harness i've found (well i think!) to an explorer, (escort and cougar which we get here easily) for only a few £.

2004-2008 F150 has a different radio from the 99-2004 Superduty/F-150

99-2003 F-150 radio is the same one that your truck has

The stock radio is known as a 1.5 din and not a true 2 din. Neither of the links you posted above will work.

Metra Part # 95-5817 | Ford Mercury Dash kit | Lincoln Dash kit | Metra Online

Metra Part # 70-1771 | Ford wire harness | Metra Online

those are the parts you need. You will also need to trim the factory plastic mount to fit a 2 din unit, use a dremel.

Thanks for the replies. I'll order a 1.5 din adaptor plate.

Tylus, not sure if you've seen the thread about backup cameras you posted in some time. I replied in that a few days ago with a couple questions if you don't mind
