2004 Explorer DVD Player problem "Load Tray Blocked"
I've been on this forum for a little while now but that's all been about my 1951 F-1 Pickup project. But I just picked up a 2004 Explorer Limited yesterday for my wife. It's got 107k miles on it and it's immaculate except for the dvd player.
It seems like it has a disc in it now but when you try to play it the screen says "no disc" when you try to eject it the screen says "load tray blocked" and when you try to put a new disc in it doesn't take it and you have to push too hard to try and get it in.
So, what's the damage and what am I up against?
Also, what else do I need to know about this truck? We did a lot of shopping and I know we got a deal but I haven't done a ton of research on the particulars of the drivetrain and electronics and their tendencies. I was just so happy to get her out of one of her dodges and into a Ford again! It's a 4.6l with the AWD.
