Good Morning Everyone.
We were only 34 this morning. Tomorrow is suppose to be even colder according to NOAA.
My bet is Bill, heat tape isn't even in the stores in Tucson. I have found that there are things that are every day items in Northern Nevada that I couldn't buy except special order in Las Vegas. Bill one thing I would consider is if you ever need to repair or replace CPVC to get rid of it for PEX. I'm doing that with my place in Hawthorne. If you froze CPVC hard most likely it is cracked somewhere. I hope I'm wrong. Just my experience.

Way tooo familiar with heat tape, LOL! If on your house, its a twice a year program, where you plug it in the late fall, and unplug it early spring. It works great though!

In Wyoming sometime I hear heat tape doesn't even keep stuff from freezing. Thinking of Lander area. They get -45 or use to anyway.
Bill, I hope you got stuff thawed. If you need any ideas or thoughts I also have years of experience with below zero winters.

I got a kick out of the kids at school today. There was ice on the playground & some kids have never seen ice from freezing weather. They were just playing with it & having a great time. I guess one more night of freezing night temps before a warm up.

turns out it was frozen at the well pipe which is two 2.5 inch pipes comming out of a 10,000 gallon tank. So tonight when i got home i wrapped them with a bunch of burlap and covered that with a few old drop cloths... it should be fine in the morning. thank god my pipes did not freeze.

Bill, during the last cold snap here in Phoenix my solar hot water heater froze up! now when there is a cold snap like this, when I get up in the middle of the night, I throw the hot water when I'm doing my business. This keeps the pipes from freezing up. You might try this to keep water moving and freezing totally up.

Craig, you got it.. Just recently where I am heading, it dipped down to -36.. Bleah! LOL!

Another tip or trick, keeping your facet open just at a drip.. as long as water moves, it doesnt freeze up as easily!

Bill.. 12-13th in PHX area.. What part?
