Power steering upgrade

No luck on the locating a cardone or napa for the direct bolt on swap. I may have a line on a late 80's V8 econoline in a junk yard. If its still there Wednesday will the brackets from any donor econoline V-8 work on a 460? I also want new hoses so do I need the original hoses off the 96 F250 or the hoses off the 80's econoline or something else? Thanks.

i believe the brackets are engine specific. so if the van has a 460 it would work on a 460, but not on a 351w. either way i'd nab the hoses from the van while you are there just in case they are different on the pump end.

Alright. I ordered a power steering assembly (bracket and pump)from some online parts locator. The issue is it doesn't come with hoses. I thought I read somewhere that the stock hoses didn't fit correctly but that hoses from a '79 F150 worked.
