We have to get you folks from Suppertown out on some sleds sometime also. We will have to see how the rest of the winter goes.

Yeah it would be fun! I haven't been on a sled in a long time! Just not in the budget right now. Too many other things taking the money right now. What money is available right now is gonna go toward the truck or the streetrod!

Good morning everyone.

Good to see you got your sled back together Jay.

-24 here this AM.

Gonna let it warm up a little before I go out and look at my truck.
I am thinking it is a pedal issue, either the TPS or IVS or both. Gonna see if they are separate from the pedal or if I need a complete pedal assembly.

I didn't mean for you to buy any right now. Between all of us there are plenty of sleds to use.

I was thinking the same thing Jay, you beat me to posting it though.

I hope it is a separate switch too, the TPS is fairly cheap from what I've found, anywhere from $25-$45 depending if you want aftermarket or OEM and where you get it from.

Haven't been able to find the IVS anywhere online, just going to get some electrical parts cleaner and spray them both out first.

Not sure what the IVS is but I am sure its not your TPS. If it was that you would have less power(less throttle), no rev instead of what you had, just my .02

Good morning Tom.

Hardware store opens at 8 AM.

Good to hear Dave and Rob got your truck all squared away.

EDIT:

IVS= idle validation switch. If it sticks open you can have a no throttle response situation.
I am going to clean them both if I can, they do get pretty dirty and gummed up over the years.

Just basing this off of the no throttle response for a few seconds I had on Monday.

EDIT 2:

For what it is worth, I have been noticing it seems down on power lately.
I was blaming it on the leaking up pipes but don't think that is 100% true now, boost and EGT's are right on par with what they should be.

Got the new compressor (ouch!) and installed it but I seem to have misplaced my vacuum pump. Crap!

Well, no such luck. It is an all in one pedal assembly.

Sounds good on the laptop Tom.
I'll be here all day.........until we leave.
