As far as I know, Ford painted the wood in the Flaresides the same color as the body. At least in the 77 1/2 Flareside that I used to have it appeared to be that way. The bed strips were body color as well as all the bolts. I could see remnants of the original silver paint on the boards as well. My wood was fairly weathered and at that time the truck was only 5 or 6 years old.............A nicely re-done wood floor that has been varnished and either chrome or stainless rub strips used on it looks awesome..................However for a truck you are going to use as a truck.......I wouldnt want to put a beer cooler in the back of a nicely varnisned one...............let alone haul a load of gravel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i couldn't use my bed if i had a wood bed. simply. also, i found my 250 actually DOES have a np203 so does that mean it's essentially AWD?
