Vacuum Pump

The secondary vacuum pump for the ESOF hubs is running all the time and is really noisey. If I put my finger over the white port it shuts off. Is it screwed up? I am having hub engagement issues.

You only have one vacuum pump. You could have a leak at the hubs, at the solenoid, behind the dash at the blend door, etc. You just need to track it down by blocking off vacuum hoses one-at-a-time.

Thanks! So will it shut off when I block the source of the leak?

Yes. If I pull a line and dump all vacuum, my pump will run around 30 seconds to 1 minute to evacuate the system and then shut off.

On my truck the there is a valve right behind Transmission dipstick to shut down heater core flow. I am always knocking the vacuum line off.

yeah, me too. I finally cut the OEM end off of it and bought some vacuum tubing. Bought a size that was a tight fit. Stays on fine now.

my vacuum pump went also replaced it and it worked for two months then went right back to defrost and wont run at all, before it ran alot and was noisy, and ideas/suspect areas to check thanks
