I love my V10, sure it's thirsty, but last week I was talking to some friends one of which owns a BMW SUV says he gets 10 city and 13 highway, suddenly my 9 city 12 highway doesn't seem so bad, especially since my truck weighs twice as much.
Bought my v10 with 107,000 miles on it. Still has original spark plugs I believe. Should I replace them or what until I have an issue. Bought the plugs but sometimes more damage can be caused by taking things apart for no reason.
There is a lot of information on this site regarding spark plugs. There is also some procedural info put out to Ford dealers by the factory in the TSB section. I would spend a lot of time gathering information before you decide one way or the other especially if you're not having any problems right now. This is a great forum to learn from other people's experiences.
I plow for a landscaping co. that drives a v10. 10 years old, a plow truck as well mind you, over 140,000, and just blew out a plug like the 5.4L issues. Someone said the plugs are two-piece.
I like you, drive minimal. Me about 5K a year. Now I have had a diesel before and loved the milage. I drove it until it had about 250K on it. I never had any issues or problems with it. The maintance on it was continual (routine) and expensive. I get now about 11MPG's on the V10. I love this motor. Quiet can pull the same stuff a diesel can pull, it just uses gas. I do not think that I would spend the money on another diesel giving the amount of milage I drive it.

replace em..
use motorcraft plugs and be sure to torque em down to specs. DO NOT just use a wrench tight fit..
Like everyone else, I love my '04 V10. It's quiet does very well towing what I need it to tow and has been trouble free thus far to 95K miles. It's a keeper for sure.
