Help Again code 42

The oxygen sensor doesn't make the engine run rich - it just tells the computer IF it happens. Changing it will rarely fix that code, and then, only if the code was erroneous from the sensor being bad. If the tailpipe isn't turning black with soot, it's probably not running rich.

A rich condition can be cause by blowby (worn rings), leaking injector(s), leaking fuel pressure regulator, bad MAP, bad MAF, wrong timing, bad plugs, bad wires, bad cap/rotor, bad ignition module, weak coil, bad ECT, bad ACT, bad PCV, or probably some other things. Start checking them according to the Haynes manual and you'll probably find the problem.

Help Again code 42

The Haynes manual shows the full names of all the sensors, but those are Mass AirFlow, Engine Coolant Temperature, and Air Charge Temperature.
