Honestly, If you want spool traction, don't waste the money on a mini. Get a real spool. With a mini spool, you are relying on the strength of the stock carrier. Plus, you get what you pay for.

RCrawler, I don't do any kind of extreme off-roading, just your back hills trails and mud bogs. I know it has less strength than the full spool, but for the price and the type of wheeling I do, I couldn't pass it up.

i have meen runnign a mini spool for almost a year now and would recomend it to anyone wanting garunteed traction off road. there is nothing like seeing dual rooster tails of mud flyin out of the back of the trucka heavy duty pin is a must. here i will be getting one this summer befor the mud bog season starts so i dont end up busting my stock pin in the pit. i have noticed that since i put 35 inch swampers on the truckl they chirp and bark a little bit more than he bald 38s i had on the truck last year. but i like the attention i get when i turn into a gas station or make a tight turn on assfault or concrete. the tire wear and chirping isnt that bad and is easy to get used to. i could see how a spool would drive you crazy with smaller tires. thats why swampers are good with a spool beacuse the are so soft and have a lot of flex.
