Hey guys I have a parts truck with a SB C6 and torque converter that I know works perfect. What's it worth?
Also have a BW1356 out of same truck also works great... Price?
I kinda wanted to keep the transfer case as a spare but there is a guy on my local CL that is looking to buy both and wants a price. I know it depends on the market and all... There aren't any SB C6's in the area but BW1356's seem to be going for $100...
I'm seeing used c6's on ebay for $450+ shipping... C6's can be found as cheap as $75... but I can't find any small block ford 4x4 c6's near us or on ebay for under 400...
yeah i have been looking around at possible donor vehicles in the area in CL and can't even find one of those for under $1000... not trying to be unfair but I didn't really want to get rid of them and he also kinda needs them for a plow truck...
Ok thanks! The guy who wanted the C6 and t-case is actually wanting them for a Bronco so he can put a snow plow on it for the winter time... His CL post asked for a truck or a tranny and transfer case. I've been thinking about getting a bronco for summer vacations to Colorado anyhow so we might just do some horse trading... His plow would be better suited on one of my 3/4 tons and I want a Bronco for going out on trails... we'll see how this all comes out i guess. Thanks for all the help guys!
Yeah well... Thor and Zeus are out of commission right now... so... I was contemplating getting one running for him with his plow and then sticking the other 3/4ton suspension under the bronco for trailing... Plus it works out that I break even on the # of vehicles b/c the misses says I can't buy any more... She didn't say anything about trading! LOL!
Personally, I would rather wheel a pickup than a Bronco, the Broncos are rather heavy for their size. I saw wts. Of broncos setup similar to my crew cab wheeler and they where usually within 500-1000 pounds of mine.

really? I was 1/2 thinking of doing a 300 I6 bronco so I could get OK mpgs from iowa to colo and still be able to wheel a little... When I say wheel, I don't mean in xtream stuff! I mean like going on loose rock trails and maybe over some small obsticles. There are several trails out by where we vacation that are pretty easy as far as 4wheeling goes but my 2wd Rav4 wasn't going to make it... LOL!
We just want a rig that will get us most of the way up the trail so we can go camping at 10-12K ft at the lake. Hiking it a few years back killed us and we had no energy to enjoy the camping part once we got to the top... not to mention the horrid hike back! We're in pretty good shape but we are flat landers from iowa and can't deal with the thin air as well...
If its just mild trails, than any 4x4 would suffice. I was thinking you where going to put some 35s or something on it. N if you where going that way, I recommend a pickup with a topper or something.
