I thought I was in the Twilight Zone reading this.
Gripe to Nissan, this is a Ford site.
I bought used 99 F150 with PATS system and only 1 key.
Took it to a local locksmith, had 2 new ones cut and he re-programmed the computer to
delete the old key ID's and accept all 3. Total cost $75 which I thought was very reasonable. 25 for each new key and 25 to reprogram.
I live here in the Cities also. Did you buy that at the impound lot? They have a service right on site that will do that for around a $100 bucks. That way you can drive away with it. Man, there are tons of cars sitting down there from all the snow emergencies that people just abandon.
My Mustang has only one key, and I called a locksmith in White Bear who said when I get it out of storage bring it in and they will cut a new transponder key, program it, and clean the computer out so any old key that I don't have will no longer work. Said $80 bucks, which I thought sounded great!
Right so. I both this one at St Paul police lot. But I was past week at St Paul snow lot. Most cars went for starting price of 400, and 2 guys both 95% of cars. Someone both Michibushi Diamante 99. for 600$ for example. My Infiniti 97. 145 000 miles I paid 575$. I would stack more cars but landlord wash me already for having 2 cars and one pickup.
