OP keep your auction truck.
I recently bought an 84 F250HD SC, with t-19 and 460 for $700 bucks. I got a bunch of other parts which I have been selling and have totally about $150-200 in net sales for that stuff. I have purchased a new holley carb, dizzy, cap, wires, rotor, air filter, oil, pcv valve, coolant, sea foam etc. So on the later end of $400 for parts thus far.
I need a rebuilt kit for the trans which is abour $200 bucks. Gasket kit for my motor and new fordracing valve covers about $100.
I am throwing a lift on it for about $700 bucks.
Its much cheaper to do it the way I am doing it plus I already know so much more then I did before. I have worked in mechanics and still know more now having older guys in my family, and neighbors who work on their own rigs, and are mechanics help me.
