Moog is high quality all the way for the last 40+ years on every part they sell , and there is really no better anywhere period that I know of. Usually they are better than oem and certainly equal and no worse. I certainly would not be installing inferior soft metal china made parts unless a sale was in the very near future.
Have installed many sets of Moog balljoints - no major issues but we have had a few that have been "tight" after installation. (#1 symptom=Poor Steering wheel return after completing a turn) We've "flushed" these with grease and rec'd good results. My 2cts- just like any other mass produced item there is variation in the pc part tolerances, etc so issues can arise. I've only had to replace 1 set due to this symptom but mainly (& rightfully so) because the cust felt the truck wasn't right. Most that have felt tight on a tesy drive free up within a 100 miles or so. I recommend greasing them with the wheels in the air & grease more freq (every month) for at least 2 months after installation. Mostly to ensure that as they settle in they have plenty of fresh grease and any debris generated get flushed out before they do any harm.
