I believe the unit is referred to as a "SWIPS" (Steering Wheel Interface Psomething Ssomething)
Also I also highly recommend the pioneer AVIC-D3 The i-pod interface alone makes it worth it, the clickwheel actually displays on the touchscreen, making it very easy to scroll between songs,artists,playlists etc. Although I do not feel that the GPS is nearly as easy to use as units such as Garmin,Tom-Tom, etc
