Maybe take a look at Crutchfield's site too----their customer service is off the hook good while the eBay vendors may or may not do much more than sell you stuff.

There is a sub-forum here that addresses aftermarket things like this too----might be some real-life user there who'll help direct you in the right direction, no pun intended!

Do not buy a Clarion. Their product is substandard and their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced.

You want cheap, look for an old Nextar. They work, but no updates. one of the models I know of is M3-04 from 2008.

I hate to be the barer of bad news but the name brand and OEM stereo units come out of China and Asia as well, most of the eBay units are very close in design but run generic software which can be the big issue.

Been looking at one of the eBay units myself, looking to install 2 new head units in my van come spring time.

Actually I have several portables, even recent Garmin's and Magellan's They are drit cheap on Yard Sales, as many people dispose of them that have smart phones with data plans. I want to put in a functional double DIN deck, w, Bluetooth, B.U. cam. and Ipod capability.

there are some sub versions, some CE 5 w. 400MHz for only $20 less and some for $100 more w, Digital TV tuner. When you run searches it looks like several dealers selling them, but if you look closer it is actually just one outfit, run from H.K. as their feedback looks the same inflated by a lot of positive from the same handful users. On the other hand there are plenty of happy enough buyers as well. Yes these are the same manufacturers that fight to make OEM for the big brand names.

hey guys these example unit from china i know im talking about the cheaper one lil over 200$ from ebay, my friend got one and it works 2 month but from the beginning problem with gps and looks on pictures nice but materials and whole graphic its bad, radio its not clear and its hard to find good solid station signal ( im not talking about antena ) the unit got some very bad freq.. my last unit witch i sold was Pioneer AVIC-F700BT Automotive GPS Receiver, HEAD UNIT ONLY (012562890159) | eBay

something like that, you can choose better version if you like but for me build in gps, blouetooth with mic, rear camera, iphone/ipad connection and lots of more like memmory card to play videos or music you can connect flash also with all bunch of stuff, never fail works for like 2 years and i bought it from pioneer refurbished saller, check also newer models, im using new one and also refurbish for half a price and after 4 months works great like usual so think twice even if you but lil used or open box item even refurbish for the same price like these new china units, im not saying some of you rly can like them but i rly saw couple and not even one was worthed just my opinion, good luck
