When I open the drain valve behind the fuel filter it runs fuel out. Is that an indication the fuel pump is running? I get gray smoke out of the tail pipe when I turn it over.I'm not home yet so I cant check the IPR but I will later tonight.

Yep and I have 11.14 volts at the plug. ON the Gpr I have 12.57 volts going in and 11.49 coming out with the key on.

Sounds like your batteries are good. You have fuel and you know that it is fuel and not gas or water. Your oil level is up to par. Are you getting any smoke when cranking? Your dash lights all are working. Is your tach moving while cranking? Just trying to catch back up and make sure we are on the same page.

I just checked it is fuel coming out the drain, I do get grey smoke while cranking, oil level is at the top of the safe operating marks on the dipstick,The tack does not move while cranking, my cps is grey the mechanic I had it to replaced it and still no change. I think the old cps was black with a gold piece of metal on it.

With the '02 your tach wont move, so the belief with the new CPS is that is good as well, with the smoke it seems as though your injectors are being commanded to fire. Will it start with the block heater plugged in for a few hours? This could lead me to believe injectors are worn out, as mine would not start without being plugged in even during the "cool" summer nights.

I will be lying in the front bumper on the drivers side and it can be hard to see. probably easier to find by feeling.

Near the oil filter there should be an orange cord, follow that to the bumper area usually around the tow hooks, there should be a plug clipped or tied up somewhere around there? Drivers side headlight area possibly too. The cord will change from orange to black somewhere along the way.

Boy do I feel stupid there it is tucked away nice and neat. Ive had the truck for 5 years and never knew it was there. I just thought that wire by the oil filter was just another wire.
