It draws 900 watts. I, too, was curious so I measured it one day.

I'm not sure about temp when left plugged in all night, but after 3 hours on a timer at subzero temperatures my coolant temps are in the 60s.

This is yet another thing that Ford thought out really well. The plug is like right there in the front opening!!!

Coming from a GMC Duramax I automatically got under the truck to start searching where it would be tied up. Followed it from the block along the rail and then to the front by the tow hook...should have seen the smile on my face when I found it already mounted and ready to plug in

On my 2004 they left it tie-wrapped to the frame about 2 feet back from the bumper??? I had to clip the zip tie, then route it, then tie it ups next to tow-hook.

The water temp gauge on my truck doesn't move off cold til the oil temp is at least 35C. Thus you prob would not see gauge mov't even if you had two block heaters.
