It's Alive!!!!!

I did it, I did it, I did it!!! After a year and a half of my poor old 49 being buried in the garage I dug it out, fired it up, and took it for a run around the block. I didn't get all the stuff cleaned out of the bed but I was able to drive it, heck, I even managed several smokey burnouts....LOL

It was a good day!
Bobby

What Ross said. The smokey burnouts are easier to do without all the extra weight in the back. Tee Hee.

Congrats on the drive!

A suggestion about how to empty that bed: Open the tailgate before you do some of those smokey burnouts... and don't look back

Congrats on finding and then running your truck. Some day if the snow melts around here I intend to do the same.

Thats always a good feeling when you can move all the stuff that piles up on your vehicle once it sits in the garage for a few weeks, (or More ) and go for a drive.
Thats what my Jeep is; a place to pile stuff! I uncovered it this summer and went around the block, well about 3/4 the way around the block.... have an electrical problem then had to pull it back home, need to replace the starter switch and fix a couple wires. now its covered up again with stuff

Glad you got it out for a ride.
Cheers

Josh

Bobby, aren't you worried your wife will see all that clean, available space in the garage, and start moving in? I think it was Queen Elizabeth who said, while the British Empire slowly unraveled, " I believe it unwise to give up what we hold".You should get another truck to put in there.

With that gear you run and that Caddy torque if you stuck a set of M&Hs on it, you could wheelie and clean out the box immediately
