i have a '77 f-150. i Want to put a stereo in it. Does any one have tips to take the dash off without tearing it up? Also the dash panel where the stereo goes has already been cut. The hole is 1/4" too big. Anybody hade any ideas?
The bezel comes off pretty easy. Just remove the wiper ****, light switch *** and the screws and it pops off easily. To patch the hole a bit, you could use some thin plexi glass or lexan to make a patch, paint it black and put the stereo in.
what i did with mine is replace the bezel with a fresh one, weld in a patch panel to replace the cut up peice where the original radio and heater control mount..then cut it fit thenew radio... i've noticed that the original panels when cut leave no or little material to support the radio...then install radio...
no pics currently, and not ful member yet so i can't post any...sorry, when i tear the bronco down for paint i'll illistrate it andshould be prenium member by then..
