Towing package or not?
I have put my vin in the decoder..
Checked my spring codes... M G
Tried to find the translation from the spring part numbers M5310 and G5560 to the new parts I am looking for.
Unfortunately, that doesn't work so well, I basically need to now if I have AC and the Towing Package to know which new springs I need, front and rear and shocks as well.
I know I have AC... I also know that I have a trailer brake controller, which I believe to be aftermarket. So how EXACTLY do I know if I have the towing package or not.
my VIN = 1FTEX15HXTKA07441
Springs: Front M-5310 Rear G-5560
So yeh any help figuring out these codes would be great. Found a source on here for my brackets.. going to need new shocks and springs when I do those... Doing this within the next month and a half. Also thinking about taking the rear axle completely off while I am doing this to get it blasted and painted...

Hmmm... well I just spent about an hour trying to figure out which new springs would be a replacement for the original ford parts... no luck.
Also any suggestions on which brands of shock are good? I was looking at the gas shocks in LMC.. the KYB or whatever... I forget

Did some reading today, seems that Bilstein makes quality products. Checking into those right now, considering that I was a street performance setup, I'm not sure if I want the Heavy Duty ones or not.
Still not sure on the front coil springs. I have checked into those ford part numbers but I don't really want oem springs as they tend to be more expensive than the aftermarket stuff. I guess that more or less I need to find out the specs on the oem spring so I can compare it to the aftermarket.
