Suspension questions

Since I have a rwd excursion, I think I found the proper suspension parts needed.

I am wondering if this is correct and if not, what do i need to add or change.

Rear: 3C3Z-5560-CB | SPRING - REAR | OEM Ford Parts

Front: 2C3Z-5310-WA | COIL SPRING | OEM Ford Parts

Shocks: Bilstein Shocks: 00-05 Excursion 2WD - eShocks.com:

Hellwig Rear Sway Bars Ford (00-05) 2WD & 4WD Excursion | BlackSmokeIndustries.com

Thanks

We just bought a 2002 V10 2wd Limited with 100k and did similar upgrades - new Bilstein shocks, new rear leaf springs and Hellwig front & rear sway bars.
Our original Ford gas pressure shocks would not open when compressed.
It sat level when measured along the running board. With a non-Ford stock F250 spring rated at 3000 lbs per spring 5 leaf 4/1, 2 stage, the rear was raised about 3/4".
The body lean without a rear sway bar was unnerving.
Huge difference in ride, handling and towing our 23' WW.

Check out Tire Rack for the Bilstein shocks - $74/$97
I think the leaf springs from General Spring were around $375 including shipping.
The Hellwig bars are lower priced at Amazon with free shipping, but I found a better price, not sure where.

Did you use the same parts that I posted or different ones?

About how much did your parts cost you?

This thread may make for some good reading for your 2WD suspension ideas. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...50-y-code.html

I was just about to place my order for the 4600 series then I came across a thread about using the 5100 series of shocks.

Anyone have experience with the 5100 and are they a better shock than the 4600 series?

With so much information out there, I'm just trying to find the best parts I can without having to repurchase parts if something doesn't work

YES , By 500 . You can not put a single shock on an X that is to stiff or to good. I've never run them ,BUT if I were picking between that choice I go with the 5100s.

The Hellwig number is correct--same for 2WD and 4WD. Don't know about others

Even though I don't have a lift, the 5100 are still worth getting over the 4600?

Anyone ever use the monroe reflex shocks?

A lift has nothing to do with the equation.

Bilstein's website says they're good for lifted trucks.

I think I'm going to go with the 5100 and new springs.

Don't need the adjustable ones but bilstein look to be the best option

If you get new springs you'll get a lift 1 1/2"-3"

He's 2WD, new coil springs are suppose to be all 12" (at least Ford's are spec'd that way). Higher spring rates just won't sag as much, and OLD springs likely sag a bit more than new springs. With 140k miles, I gained 0.5 to .75 inches upgrading my 2WD coil springs from stock S-code (excursion) to Y-code (F350 dually) - however, the increased spring rate is awesome - (so far) NO bottoming out on the bump stop going across off-camber driveway entrance/exits..

I'm ok with a natural lift that comes with now components, not looking to do a lift kit.

In talking with Misky6.0, he really helped settle some doubts I had in which route to go on how to approach what I wanted to do.

I'm probably going to go with ATS springs in the rear after talking to Junior from ATS and Bilstein shocks in the rear.

I hope some of what I need is part of the Amazon sale tomorrow.
