Hey Folks, just saw a blue 1956 F100 go for $132,000!!!! Who says times are tough.
It was a real nice truck but not $132,000 worth.

Hope it belongs to someone here, that means your buying the next round.

Went there Wednesday and there are some nice rides but times are tough. I saw a lot of cars and pickups that shouldn't demand the high $. I went with a guy that know's and owns a classic T-Bird and we talked to a couple that was there looking at a bird to bid on and they didn't know much about classic birds, go figure. We saw two guys, with flashlights on the ground, looking under what looked like a nice 55 Chevy. I commented to them that what they were doing was a good idea so that they could get a better evaluation of the car. The one guy looked up at me and said " I should have done this before I bought it, this is really rough". IMO - I don't think that the really great stuff is here. True there is some nice cars but there are also some that don't belong at "this" auction. I would't dought that some of these rides are being sold not because they don't want them, but because they have to sell them.

I saw a listing of the cars going across the block, it included something like a 1992 Olds Regency, a $1200 car for sure. I think now might be a good time to buy a car that's half done, or completely done and $30k below what they bring in good times.

You are right on. I saw what appeared to be some great buys. Some were clearly projects cars or trucks. The only problem is that you have to figure in the 8% buyers fee when you bid, so make sure your not paying too much. If you have the money, now is a good time to buy. I think if I were looking for a deal I would check out the other auctions first like: RH, Silver, Russo & Steel.

A resto-mod 48 Ford Panel truck sold on Tuesday for something like $29k. On Wednesday, I saw two Fords come through. One was a slightly modded 52 in white color and sold for around $30k. The next one was a black 52 or 51 and appeared stock. It sold for around $40k, I believe.
