bad igntion
Two Possibilities
1) Your ignition box could cause the starting issue. Could you describe more about what its doing or not doing?
2) Ignition switch could cause signals to weird out on you. Its really not that difficult to change Ignition switch. A paper clip is used to remove tumbler from switch, but probably better at this time to replace both. The bezel on outside of Ign switch with the three notches in it can be removed with a screwdriver if your careful you wont ding it up too bad. Probably want to disconnect battery beforehand just in case. Then just unplug the connector on the back of the swtich and its out.

Ok let's see the starter is clunking when. I turn the key to start it if I try a few times it will start then turn truck off and try again just clunks at the starter and the starter is good same with the silinoid cables and connection are good I'm thinking the igntion because off my signal not working till I mess with the key at on postion
