Sorry, but we would have completely different views on things. Unreal.

One of the best answers to that argument ever. =)

The constitution states we should bear arms as a way to keep the government in fear of us, because the people are supposed to be the highest power in the land.
As it states, "we the people.." not We the government.
A society that cannot protect itself can easily be overrun by its government.
Though, government doesn't much like militias now days either. Mostly because they have their own publicly funded one which they keep taking funds from.
The Police IMO is just a funded regulated militia. Unfortunately, its not really a "peoples militia" its more government.
Wanna know how great society is going and why you should carry a gun. Talk to a Flint police officer. Talk to any officer really. They will tell you all the laws they have to enforce they think are complete bullox.</font>
Okay Mark.. Went and played witht he body guard, my opinion of the LCP just fell below the bodyguard by far... What a nice little piece.
Al, the M&P's were that much of a problem? Wow, a buddy of mine is really trying to get his hands on a M%P .40 compact, that bothers me you are saying that. I had thought they were nice firearms..

Physically they are a great looking gun. However, the downfall ws that they were unreliable on going bang when the trigger was pulled.
Our case: We had S&W change the barrels to the .357. We used a hotter round than others. We experienced feed malfunctions, ejection problems, and striker problems. I'll tell you more at the GTG. S&W is trying to keep it quiet, because they signed a deal with DEA for 200,000 thousand guns.
Liability is high when you know of a problem and don't fix it.
I went to the MGO forum and asked the question, after you had posted that you had problems, A guy came on and sadi the first generation if the M&P's sucked, sadly the ones issued to officers, but the problem had been resolved? I am not taking this guys word for it, dont know him from Adam, but I thought it something worth bringing up to you.
S&W flew 5 of our guys to the facility. They said the problem was fixed. They grabbed several new guns from the line. Even they had malfunctions after testing them in front our guys. This was the short story. I cant type that fast.
I just got done reading about the Taurus Raging Judge. Any of you guys see that thing? It's a prototype right now. Damn, can you say damage? I can imagine it as a home defense weapon, tons of damage to walls, broken wrists from pullng the trigger three times not to mention the parts of the dufus that broke in all over the place. I don't think my wife could even aim it. She's happy with her 9mm and won't talk anything else for her.

If she is confident with it and the weapon is reliable, then I wouldn't ever try to get her into another gun.Chances are,in the heat of the moment, she will react and perform with it the best.Knowing your gun and making it your own is half the battle.Don't be surprised if she gets to a point that she out shoots you at the range. Most women, once taught, out shoot most men. They take instruction well and have more self dicipline than a lot of us guys, there is just less of them shooting, but that is changing. On the down side,if you **** her off,she can shoot.lol.

That is probably true,I was just going by what is said about overall competition shooting, trap, pistol, rifle, nationwide, and some of my own experience.Of course they have to want to shoot and not be a bimbo. What I found in the few I taught to shoot handguns, was that they had a clear mind,no preconceptions, like Dirty Harry,Hollywood horizontal pistol shooting,or cowboy one handed target shooting.I have also seen a few that were really "gun shy" because their hubby, boyfriend or even dad had them shoot a 12ga or large bore pistol or rifle before they shot anything reasonable and are so afraid of the pain, that it's hard to even teach them to shoot .22.Like everything else,it still comes down to the individual.
My Wife is a fantastic shot, with everything I have put in front of her, 20 gage, SKS, .22 and my .40.. SHe hated every minute of it though.. even with ear plugs and head phones on, she doesnt do well with the "bang".
