Why the frick do al these hot rodders think it has to have chebby running gear? Ford has been out pulling them for 40 years. All through the 80s & early 90s you never saw an ambulance, tow truck or other must go that didn't have blue oval.
I started noticing a few years back that Ford powered rods were bringing more bucks than others.
Wow, they are all gorgeous. I love the red stake body. But it goes to show you how much Barrett-Jackson is over-priced. But, a lot of people that go to that auction have serious coin. So what do they care if they pay $15k for a truck they like that is only worth $8k when they are there to buy a $200,000 car. Chump change.
With that said, I damn near bid on this one yesterday but would have only gone to $6500.
Thanks for posting them! If it were me I wouldn't use peep mirrors on the bigger work trucks. There are no fender emblems on the red and silver trucks. My favorite is the blue one.
that red Dually was the top seller, 35000. + 10% 38500.
Cough, cough, hack, spit, choke....
So......if I paint my faded blue and white '64 dually all red......And chrome the OEM black split rims......And replace the West Coast Jr. truck mirrors with useless little round mirrors......
I'll have to do a few mods to my headache rack and platform too....

Cough, cough, etc. I ain't replacin' my 390 with a Bow-Tie thing, no matter how much more HP it has....
But I guess I wouldn't mind replacin' the single quad with dual quads or triple deuces....
Joe, guessin' for $38,500, next year's buyer probably won't want a granny gear four-speed either. Sigh.
All are nice and worth only what the buyer is willing to paid. The F250 4x4 was / is my favorite one. Wish I could of sent my 65 to Barretts; Those folks are in awhole different tax bracket then me..........
I guess some guys put chevy mills in their 30s fords because the oil pan would not interfere with the steering on a lowered rod. But I love my Slicks motor as it came from Ford. The 352has a great history. Why swap in a Chev when a Ford will kick butt.
