Popping through intake

So should I be worried about cleaning my valves? taking my heads off? what else if anything besides cleaning the tanks and lines should I be worried about doing?
Ive had one guy tell me that i needed to basically go through the hole engine and clean it..... I really dont want to have to do all that.......
Whats eveyones thoughts?

I'd pull out a few more rods and roll them across a table to make sure none of them are bent. Then go to the Ford dealer or a shop that sells diesel engine parts and pick up some or a new push rod and replace what was broken. Turn the engine over by hand when you get it back together to make sure you don't have some other issue, then button it back up and drive.

You need to find out just what the heck is in your fuel tanks.. If it was sugar for some reason, you have some work to do. If its just algae, just clean the fuel system out and gog on about your business.
