180,000 and stacks that sound good and blow black... and a motor that isnt a dog... i need a truck that can still plow snow and tow a bobcat or something... but still a play truck!

Turn the fuel up enough and it will blow as much smoke as you can handle, but that won't be the most powerful setting.
Rework the intake so you are getting cold air. Some of the guys have ram-air setups that they swear by. I have something similar to that using an intake from Hypermax, but most guys just make there own.
Get it cold, fresh air, and open the exhaust up. Add a pyrometer measuring EGT in the exhaust manifold, then (and only with the pyro installed) start turning up the fuel until you have it where you like it.
My truck is not the most powerful, compared to the new trucks. It is fast and powerful enough for what I need it to do, and with the completely open 4" exhaust it is certainly loud enough to stand out.
It is not as fancy as the twin-turbo 24 valve Dodge I'm looking after, but it is quite a bit more fun to drive.
whoah now slow down there.a lot of black smoke is the worst thing for your truck unless of course you like melting pistons.all black smoke is is unburned fuel ,by dumping that much raw fuel in it is raising the temp of your engine real fast.just cause it smokes dont mean its fast or powerful.gale banks built a diesel drag car and it dont smoke a bit.the best thing you can do is get better airflow through the intake and exhaust.if it has a muffler cut it out,the turbo acts as a muffler. run bigger exhaust if at all possible.get a matched set of injectors, find a way to get cooler air in and more air in.
