Yes, as long as the tech knows the smog laws regarding diesels.

All filter intake systems, kits, and setups have been OK'd by CARB.

Good to hear. I'll have to bring in some printed out CARB rules next time I get smogged in case the tech isn't aware.

How about straight pipes? Luckily, my truck didn't come with a cat from the factory. Would straight pipes pass as well?

Straight pipe as in muffler removed, yes? (I'm sure that's what you mean, I just wanna be certain)

You cannot remove a muffler from any exhaust system. Not even from the pre '73 cars that don't have to be smogged. But if you get a tech that doesn't give a dang if you have one or not, then you're fine.

When I smogged my Ex and my F250, the tech never even looked under my truck to see if it had a muffler.
