None of those numbers you posted ID the steering gear box.

Is this manual steering, or does it have some type of add on P/S?

HELP. i'm a new member. i'm not familiar with this site yet. my father gave my 16 year old son his '76 f-100. the "three on the tree" has had it. i'm needing help finding parts. from what i've read there hard to come by. at this point a floor shifter is not an option. any advise?

That's a Chrysler steering box for sure. Here's mine. You should be able to get a replacement easily enough. The 83-89 Chrysler 5th Avenue would all be the same and possibly other Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth models and before 1983...

I don't know if cast numbers will help or not. That steering box was very common in the 80s and should be easy to find. Try Autozone, Pep Boys, NAPA, or even Ebay. One of them will have a rebuilt box.

Look at auction number 400147767901 or 370475031690 on Ebay. Looks like they have them from 73-93.

No problem and glad I could help. BTW, I noticed that you have a hose clamp on the high pressure hose going to the steering box. You need a new hose. I don't think a hose clamp is going to hold a high pressure steering hose very long...

If you need a new hose look at Ebay auction number 230356096688.

can you go back to autozone and do a free rent thing on a pitman arm puller? if you are not using either of the two and you can't get it off with the right puller, I would put some heat to the outside of the pitman arm, but be careful cause if ya melt anything it might alter the ability to return as a core. Pitman arms can be a PITA sometimes. also if you have access to swing a hammer, you can use the puller, putting pulling pressure on it, then using one hammer putting it up against the outside circumference of the pitman arm as a backup wieght, then with a second hammer hit the out circumference(180 degrees from your backup hammer) of the pitman arm. It will jolt the arm and slightly out of round just enough to break it loose. I could have driven there and done it in the time it took to write this! Whew...

Usually a puller works fine. Buy, borrow, or rent one. I doubt you will get it off any other way...
