Hi All,
I made it to Arizona! My '03 did fine my Bronco is still in GA. Today the control on the heat, defrost and a/c got stuck on defrost. It does not matter which button I push, the light indicates the change but the air continues to blow out the defrost vents at the w/s. This is on the '03 f-150. I know it is the wrong forum, but figured someone will have had this problem and chime in. Where do I look first? Mark
Nobody ever had heat problems huh? That's strange. Yes I did a short search. Anybody with time on their hands? I'm working (thank the Lord), so I don't have time to just start taking things apart. This is also my only vehicle at the moment. But I still have my eye on that '96 Bronco I asked about. I am not gonna beg........... but a little bit. Mark
Ford controls default to defrost in the event of a failure. (Keeps the windshield clear if nothing else works). I know exactly how to fix a 90's vintage F-series/Bronco with this problem (BLUE vacuum line under the center of the dash is broken, come loose, or the vacuum pot that is actuates has died). I can't be certain with the '03 though.
Thanks guys,
It is a place to start. I will have some time in a day or so and I will post back what I find.
I know from previous experience on the Bronco that Ford vacuum lines fail rather quickly.
But it generates a good steady income for hours charged to run down and fix. Thanks, Mark
