O.K. So ALL years are interchangeable????? Only the window is different?
I'm asking this because I asked the same question and was told 78-79 were different. I was looking for one and didn't care about the rear window since I have a half cab which was brought up in my thread.
If I would have known this I would have looked more at the different styling and figured out what I liked best, and tried to get one maybe in better shape than the one I bought. I still might keep looking if I can put any Bronco tailgate from 78-96 on, at least see what the differences are between the years.
You can put an 80+ on a 78-79 as I understand it but the body lines don't match. The Bronco and F-series were restyled in 1980 anf all that changed. Sometimes its more than a matter of "does it fit" but more a case of "does it look right". The latch/striker bolt placement changed at some point making newer units incompatible and I can never remember when that was but someone does.

O.K. Thanks. I might try to do some measuring and see.
