Exuast wrap?
I have used it, not on a header though. Works pretty well. The pros is that it won't heat up nearby stuff, in fact on my vehicle, you could grab the hot pipe with your bear hands and not get burned. One of the downsides is that it does not last forever. You will still get quite a few good years out of it through. It just depends on where and how you use it. I used mine to cover a crossover pipe so that heat did not radiate to the transmission or to fuel or brake lines. I suppose one of downsides is that if you use enough of it to cover enough of the exhaust system, the tailpipe temperature will increase. Another pro is that the more heat you hold in, the more efficiently the hot exhaust will flow through the pipe, so a small power gain can be had.
