Lots of people would trade there 6.0 with bad cooler or worse still blown head gaskets that smoke really good for your non smoking 6.0 but that said I love to see a smoking Diesel pulling a sled down the track..
Smoke tunes and smoke switches on the street are for posers. The drivers run a trail of smoke all over town and giggle like little bitches. 95% of the time the smoky trucks can't even get out of their own way.
My 04 Power Joke has no problem smoking without tunes or switches. Of course the local dealers can't find anything wrong with it so I guess I should consider it a feature.
Yeah people frown upon us blowing black smoke all over town.. But everyone no matter there age has a kid in them still. so do what you want, but if your looking for smoke, SCT or go with SUPERCHIP plug n play. You can tune the superchip to regulate your smoke at so many RPMS. We have an 05 6.0 with plug n play and it smokes, but only when we want.
Normally I would agree since we only have one live might as well enjoy it. However, when it can affect other people, that's when you can't afford to be as selfish as do what just makes you happy.
You never know who you are going to **** off and there might come a time when they have regulations even on off road use as well.
I highly doubt that this stuff is a passing fad here.
I find it kinda ironic that the guys with tuners are bashing 2006powerstroke90 for wanting to produce a little smoke. I would like to know how green these tuners are, or do these trucks still pass the emissions standard these trucks were designed for.
Funny when the kettle is calling the pot black. The EPA is not monitoring Joe Blow blowing smoke around the block when setting the emissions standards for our trucks.
Here's some advice for 2006powerstroke90... You may need to be careful when producing excessive smoke as the additional soot will probably build up in the EGR valve, intake and EGR cooler which cannot be a good thing for the longivity of your engine. Either way it's your truck and your $$$ so its' your call.

I love it when someone does this, because mine will still pass emissions testing as it is today.
Now, am I the typical case? Probably not, in fact, I'm willing to bet that I'm not the typical case, however, mine still does meet emissions testing. We actually have diesel testing where my truck is tagged, so I have to really careful how I proceed with things.
Well, I must admit it would be nice to smoke those herds of slow going bicyclists that ride in congested traffic. Oops, did I say that out loud.
They are doing more harm then good by cycling on the road anyway. They need to stick to the bike trails. VO2 Max can be a killer if you don't watch it. Just depends on what you are intaking.

Thanks for the support.
I wasn't looking for problems to anyone else out there.
I will look into the sct, who can I go to for custom tunes?
