I'm not questioning that you are experiencing problems, only that your post is the only one I've read that claims it is nothing but 'chinese garbage'.
At the time there wasn't a lot of info about this nav. I found this website from a different guy and he gave it to me. Plus that booklet doesn't really tell you what kind of nav it is. I just think that if you never had a nav system before then yeah you would like this to a certain extent but compared to other nav systems I would stray away from it.
Save your money. Newer nav system have better features. I personally don't like seeing people spending there hard earned money for something that just doesn't do what it is suppose to. I'm not against it but don't expect a lot because you really are getting what you pay for. Don't be upset it starts to malfunction a lot like mine.
Just now I started messing with the touchscreen and once again it started the quirky thing that it does. I will get a video out there to let everyone know what the really is like. I wont be suprised if someone else who has it says the same thing.
Thanks for the input from both of you. It seems that you either get one that works reasonably well or get one that is absolute crap. I actually live about 30 mins drive from where these units are sold from in Oakville, Ont. I've emailed back & forth with an "Eric" from TrustiGo and he says they only sell by mail order & wont meet up so that i can play with one of them. Not sure i want to roll the dice on $600.

Yeah that's a tell tell sign that its just a guy ordering these things and sending them out not claiming responsibility if they malfunction. I learned my lesson buy from a brick and motar place and not these fly by night online stores.
Plus I noticed that on ebay all the ones that he is selling the nav units now are private listings. Thats means the rest of the world can't see what has been sold once feedback has been left. That's kind of fishy. I saw some negative feedback and a buyer complained about it. This is recent too. I hate to put his feedback on the spot wish I would have left a negative feedback. At the bottom of the auctions there should be buy at your own risk. Trustigo problems occur.

I have had little issues with my unit, but I still am happy. For the price and what it can do vs JVC, POINEER, KENWOOD, ect... Overall I think I got a good deal. As far as customer service.. It was a little tough at first, but I had no problem sending the unit back (under warranty), and received a replacement one. The 2nd one is much better. The only thing I didn't like, was having to pay shipping to send the unit, and the 10 days it took to get mine back.

Understandable but why should you have to do that. It should work correctly the first time. Shipping things back and forth is really a hassle. If I went to best buy or even received it from crutch-field I wouldn't have to take my time to send something back with my money. Next time I'll buy my touchscreen from them but still will DIY.
I just think overall like I said if you want something cheap go for it. But realize you get what you pay for and know what your buying. Don't be disappointed.
Also another problem is that the unit doesn't have the brackets on the sides to hold it properly in or even come with the screw that is located on the back of the factory 6 disc audiophile to properly hold it in place. See below in the picture where the 2 screws are on the sides are where the factory brackets where. Also a kit wont help since the unit is too large for an aftermarket kit. I had to take a screw and fasten it through a hole on the back of the unit so that when I reinstalled everything that it wouldn't just drop in that empty space. It still doesnt fit the way it should it kinda of pokes out a bit. I'll get some pics up later.

This unit was installed on a 2006 F-150 Lariat. I ended up using a 2004 F-150 kit. I only needed the side pieces to screw in the unit. Afterwards, the unit lined up with the factory holes, and I was able to secure it normally. Hope this helps.
Hey guys I am coming from a Mazda site. I purchsed a DVD Unit from trustigo, aka Navitouch for my 2009 cx7 and it died within 5 months.
DO NOT purchase from this guy. I'm going to all forums where i see chatter about trustigo and navitouch.ca.
He will not return emails, Navitouch doesn't exist anymore and he can't be found. My unit is dead after $600 and he promised me a 2 yr wearranty and i've been trying to contact them for 2 weeks now.
Just so you all know, spend the extra $200 and get a Pioneer or Sony system. These Chinese peices of crap are nothign but a pain in the ***.
Any questions don't hesitate to pm me......I hate being ripped off. Stupid me for trying to save an extra $200.
I have to agree with Scrillanation. I have this unit in my Dodge Ram work truck and it sucks.
The radio comes in like crap
overall sound quality is poor
the military time thing bugs the crap out of me ( it will show real time in Nav mode )
It doesnt save your settings all the time
the DVD takes forever to load and then a screen comes up telling you not to access menu
I have noticed the touchscreen gets lazy after awhile
bluetooth has an echo
the ipod thing is a joke, it doesnt remember where you were in the playlist when you shut the truck off
map quality isn't too bad but the print is too small on the side streets
I hate how when you put a destination in it defaults to the 3D mode.
Other than that it's great
By contrast I love my factory Nav in my Expy.
Matt
I agree with you I have the same problems with my unit i just got for my dodge truck. I should have spent the extra money for a factory unit etc. This thing is not all that. Maybe worth 200 bucks but not 600!!!
i have a 2005 f150 king ranch with the subwoofer, i have had this unit for about a month now and it works great! have had no probs, everything works great, the only prob that i had was with the subwoofer, you will have to splice a 5 k ohm 1/2 watt resteror between the head unit and subwoofer to keep it from popping when you power up and power off. you can get the restor at radio shack for about $1.19, the wheel controls do work, but the only thing about the wheel controls is that when i turn on the head lights the volume contrl will jump to the scan, cant figure that one out yet, if any body else has this prob. and has figured it out pls, post with the results. besure to back up and make a copy of the navi system on the SD card, because if you loose it then you have no navi system.for the other guys that has problems with theirs its like anything thats man made sometimes you get a bad one. hope this helps. from the BLUE OVAL CHAPTER.

I agree. I just wish they would support it. If the guy replaced it and the new one was better it would be one thing, but all these problems and he just ignores the emails...
PS The CD player no longer accepts CDs. This thing is not very old to be breaking...
I got one last summer, installation was very easy except for the rear view camera. I can't find the line that comes from the camera on the tailgate to the display on the rear view mirror. My unit has the front mounted camera, it works fine. I mounted the USB input in the trim beside the radio and the phone mike in the overhead console. I mounted the GPS antenna in front of the tray on the dash. Took me about 6 hours overall. I have downloaded music to a USB stick, that works, the I-pod worked without any setup required, the navigation system is really great, I have a garmin GPS that I have used for several years and after I got use to this system I found there are a lot of things it has that the garmin didn't. The bluetooth option for hands free cell phone is as good as anything I have seen on any car. The only thing I don't like is the clock, it is preset for 24 hour time and I have not been able to find a way to make it 12 hour time. Overall I think its a great buy.
He was pretty good answering my questions but I think there must be a language barrier. After I ordered he was very proactive and even offered to load a custom logo into the Double Din unit I bought. He emailed me with a couple install tips and let me know when he shipped. The product is enroute and we will see from how it goes from here.
I purchased navigation from eBay user trustigo nearly two years ago. Since I purchased the item the GPS aspect of the stereo has not worked. I have tried contacting trustigo through eBay but never got a response. I am hoping that somebody can provide me an email address where I can contact him . Please email me at Callanankj@gmail.com. Thank you for all help
