The cover/keyhole gasket is <$10....more like $5. (knock on wood) I've not had a fuel line o-ring leak yet--even swapping them to other fittings, but I've seen several cover gaskets leak.

I called 2 of the near by dealerships and they the the lowest for the key hole gasket is $4 and $78 for the upgraded spring kit. I think I will get the key hole gasket from the dealership and GDS spring on ebay for ~$15.

I have read that the gds spring can over pressure your injectors. Do your homework.

I went by the local FMC dealership to look at the fuel reg. kit, part # 3C3Z-9T517-AG. I am interested in upping the fuel pressure in my 05'.

There is NO spring in this kit??? How does it up the pressure??? Obviously, it doesn't, unless I am missing something!!

Do any of the good techs on here have the FMC part# for the upgraded kit WITH the spring?? Pls. advise. Thanks.

That is the right part number. There is a spring in that kit unless somebody stole it to sell on ebay or something.

The GDS spring took me to 100 psig. That is way over the Ford spec of 75 psig (potential injector o-ring damage from my research).

There are a few threads around other forums asking for anyone w/ a GDS spring to step forward and say if they have had any problems with the higher pressure. So far no-one has said that they have one installed and have had a problem.

For me it is not worth the risk. My performance is quite fine as it is. No turbo lag and pretty good acceleration for stock (well, stock except for the custom FICM). I have the upgraded spring. Before that, I had the bb. Before that, I would drop to around 45 psig at WOT with the original spring.

I will stick with the bb. So far it is keeping me between 50 and 60.

Be careful with that GDS Spring, You may be looking for trouble. High pressure can be just as bad as low pressure. I would go with the kit 3C3Z-9T517-AG cost 55.19 from www.partsguyed.com
I know Ed is not there right now but you can still order parts

i install a 3c3z-9c065-aa gasket and find a small screw that you can trimit to fit.it bumps the pressure about 5-10 psi.all in all this cost about 7 bucks.

Awesome! That is much cheaper than $78 from the dealer depending on shipping.

I ended up getting 3c379t517ag from Mid Tenn ford parts for $57 to my door. I talked to bill. There are some errors on the website so I put the order through the phone. Great guy to deal with.
