Since you are lifted, you'll need to aim them down considerably
to avoid blinding others.
I've never done a lifted vehicle, but on all our vehicles I do it this way:
@ night I drive to a dark side road and then adjust my lights so I
can see "far enough" but w/o blinding folks. I also adjusted the left/right as well to suite my preference (I don't think the '05 lights have left/right adj).

yep thats correct they only have the up and down adjustment . . .

yeah I find tons of information on how to aim headlights on stock height cars but I am yet to come across a legit write up or advice for aiming headlights on something lifted.

Yes dark road is the best. Adjust and get inside the vehicle and check how far out you can see the lights on low beam. I would say from the front edge of the hood you should see light out about 20-30 yards.
